I often get asked how to get started as a web developer or how to learn the basics of HTML and CSS. There are a ton or resources on the internet to help with just such an endeavour, but I think that when you are just starting out you can’t go wrong with a good book.
It’s not always easy finding a good book however. The scope too broad, the explanations too detailed or not detailed enough, the tone too dry and what starts out as a fun challenge becomes a painful and demoralising chore.
In yesterdays ShopTalkShow podcast there was mention of this fantastic book that looks like it would be a great way to start learning HTML and CSS. It’s really nicely designed and comes very highly recommended. This may just be a good book.
